Head-to-Head

The Regina Pats (4-2-1-0) take on the Tri-City Americans (5-3-0-0) for the first time this season. The visitors from the U.S. Division won the lone meeting between the clubs last season by a 5-3 score in Kennewick, WAS. Braden Christoffer led the Pats with a goal and an assist in the contest while Brian Williams scored twice for the Americans. Coming into tonight's game the Pats have points in five straight after a 5-4 win over Kootenay Wednesday. Tri-City arrives in Regina for their second last stop on an East Division swing. The Americans are 3-1-0-0 on the road trip so far after a 5-3 win in Saskatoon last night. This evening's game can be heard on 620 CKRM starting at 6:35 p.m.

Honouring the Champions

The Pats 1974 Memorial Cup Championship team is celebrating its 40th reunion this weekend in Regina. Almost the entire team will be in attendance at tonight's game and will be honoured in a pre-game ceremony. The alumni will be available for autographs in the second intermission and holding a silent auction featuring 1974 Championship memorabilia. Saturday the team gathers for a luncheon starting at noon at the Press Box Sports Bar. Tickets are available at the Pats Office or the door for $50.

Lead Up: Brooks' Pair of Goals Leads Pats to 5-4 Win Over Ice

Jaedon Descheneau and Wyatt Hoflin put on fantastic individual efforts, but couldn't overcome the Pats balanced attack led by Adam Brooks. Descheneau scored once in each period for a hat-trick and picked up an assist while Hoflin made 42 saves on the night, but the Pats got goals from Chase Harrison (2nd), Dryden Hunt (2nd), Braden Christoffer (3rd) and a pair from Brooks in the third period along with 27 stops from Daniel Wapple for the 5-4 win.

Brooks Finding Offensive Touch

Scoring twice last night, Adam Brooks finds himself just one goal away from matching his career high of four on a season. After two years focusing on improving two-way play, Brooks is finding a way to contribute offensively with six points (3G, 3A) in his first eight games. The Winnipeg product is tied for the WHL lead with two game winning goals.
