The Waterloo Black Hawks' Dachshund Derby has been expanded!
Friday's first intermission race has been opened to all breeds of small dogs under 20 pounds.
Terriers, Chihuahuas, Schnauzers, Pomeranians, Corgis, and more are all welcome to show their stuff and help the Cedar Bend Humane Society. The $10 entry fee will benefit homeless pets here in the area.
All participating canines require a two-person team of race assistants and a portable kennel.
Paw Prints Pet Salon in Hudson will provide participating dogs with a special gift package of goodies, while supplies last.
