Asheville Tourists News Release

ASHEVILLE, NC-- Less than a month after the Asheville Tourists claimed their second South Atlantic League championship in the last three seasons, the organization is already preparing for 2015. The aluminum bleacher-style benches, which were first implemented at McCormick Field in 1992, are being replaced in favor of individual reserved stadium-style seats.

"One of this year's main off-season projects is enhancing the fan's viewing experience," said Tourists President Brian DeWine. "Remodeling the seating bowl adds a level of comfort and space without losing any of McCormick Field's historic attributes."

The renovation will result in many revamped seating sections. Fans will have the option to choose from seven areas in the ballpark to enjoy the action:

Bojangles' Dugout Suites The Bojangles' Dugout Suites are the closest seats to the field in the entire ballpark. Located adjacent to both the first and third base dugout, fans can reserve seats on either side. Not only are you right next to the action, but can enjoy the game in a comfortable, oversized chair with plenty of room. The seats come standard with unlimited complimentary Bojangles' Chicken Sandwiches, Burgers, Hot Dogs, Coca-Cola Products and Ballpark Snacks. All seating in this section is reserved with a designated seat. A Full-Season Ticket in the Bojangles' Dugout Suite is $1,799 and a Half-Season plan is $980.
