Danbury Whalers Sign Forward Brett Liscomb; Will Serve as Player/Assistant Coach

The Danbury Whalers are proud to announce the signing of forward Brett Liscomb as a player/assistant coach.
Liscomb, a native of Long Sault, Ontario, is playing his 2nd season in the FHL. He previously played for the New Jersey Outlaws in 2011-12, winning the Commissioner's Cup against Danbury.
When asked about his thoughts on signing, Brett had this to say: "It's exciting to be playing in Danbury, the fans are incredible, and I'm hoping to bring a championship back to Danbury." When asked what role he will be providing: "As a veteran I'm looking to provide leadership and bring some offense and scoring"
Brett played 4 seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Windsor Spitfires and Ottawa 67's, and played college hockey at St. Francis Xavier University. He also played 131 regular season games, and 13 playoff games, in the SPHL with the Huntsville Havoc, where he won the President's Cup in 2010, Pensacola Ice Flyers, Louisiana IceGators and Fayetteville FireAntz, and played 2 seasons in the Australian Ice Hockey League with the Adelaide Adrenaline. He also played 1 game for the Dayton Bombers (ECHL) and 6 games for the Tulsa Oilers (CHL).

Just a reminder that the Danbury Whalers and Buffalo Wild Wings are hosting a great event on Thursday, October 9th from 7 - 9 pm. It's the 5th Annual Meet the Danbury Whalers Team Party at Buffalo Wild Wings on 26 Backus Avenue in Danbury.
This has been one of the most heavily attended events the past four seasons as it is the first full team event on the schedule.
The event is open to all Danbury Whalers fans and will feature complimentary appetizers including the World Famous Buffalo Wild Wings throughout the evening. In addition, the Danbury Whalers will purchase your first beverage.
Fans will have a chance to meet the Opening Night roster players, hear from Head Coach Phil Esposito and meet the Whalers front office staff.
