Stampede's Marques Colston Joins Soul Ownership Group

HARRISBURG, PA (October 6, 2014 ) - The Harrisburg Stampede of the Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL) announce that owner, president and general manager Marques Colston has joined the ownership group of the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League. Colston joins the existing ownership group which includes former Philadelphia Eagle quarterback and current ESPN analyst Ron Jaworski as well as Craig Spencer, Cosmo DeNicola, Pete Ciarrocchi and Marty Judge.
"Joining the Soul ownership group is in line with my business strategy as I plan my future well past my playing days," said Marques. "The opportunity to align not only myself, but the Stampede with the premier organization in the Arena Football League, including a top notch ownership group, was one I could not pass up. I plan to work closely with the Soul's talented front office, leveraging my relationship with both organizations to create strategic advantages for both teams."

Colston is entering his third season as owner of the Harrisburg Stampede. A Susquehanna Township native, he wants to ensure Stampede fans that this opportunity with the Soul is not a step away from his passion of owning his hometown Stampede, but rather another step to strengthen the organization.
Tryouts for the Stampede are coming up on Saturday, November 22nd at In the Net Sports Complex in Palmyra, PA. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and workouts will begin promptly at 9 a.m. In addition to Stampede coaching staff being in attendance, there will also be representation from the Soul to scout potential players.
