Hall Signs Five-Year Deal with Knighthawks

The Rochester Knighthawks have announced the signing of transition man Jordan Hall to a five-year deal. The six-time World Champion makes his return to Rochester, where he had two memorable seasons.

"I have always been treated well by the Knighthawks and it's good to know they want me for that long," said Hall. "They go to extra lengths to make sure players are comfortable and can focus on winning."

The 30-year-old Hall played in Rochester from 2011-12 and recorded 25 goals and 46 assists in 22 games. In 2011, he was honored as the winner of the National Lacrosse League's Sportsmanship Award. The following season, he won a Champion's Cup with the Knighthawks.

Hall has had a knack for winning championships in his lacrosse career, capturing two pro field lacrosse titles and three gold medals as well. In the pro outdoor game, Hall won two Major League Lacrosse titles, netting the 2008 championship with the Rochester Rattlers and the 2009 crown with the Toronto Nationals. On the international stage, he has earned gold with Team Canada three times, winning his last World Lacrosse Championship in 2014.

"He's a fantastic world-class player. We want him to come in and score some goals and make everyone around him better," said Knighthawks Assistant Coach Paul Day. "That's what he does. He is a great team player and is an excellent addition."

In seven seasons in the NLL, Hall has collected 138 goals, 275 assists and 565 loose balls in 100 games. In his career, he has played for teams in New York, Orlando, Rochester and Philadelphia. He spent the past two seasons with the Philadelphia Wings. The Vancouver, BC native notched 34 goals, 42 assists and 95 loose balls with the Wings in 2014.

Hall broke into the NLL with the Titans organization (New York/Orlando), where he played from 2008-10. In 2010, he was named a Second Team All-Pro and led all transition players in assists with 58, finishing fourth overall in the league in the category. In 2008, the former first-overall pick was named to the NLL All-Rookie Team.

Hall is now back in Rochester after the Knighthawks pulled off the September 22 nd Draft Day trade with New England, which sent three picks to the Black Wolves.

"I'm excited for his outlook on the game. He is always calm, and plays hard and fast every shift," said Knighthawks forward Cody Jamieson.

"Jordan is an elite player in the league," said Knighthawks forward Joe Walters. "Any time you can add an elite player, it's a boost to the lineup. With him spending time here already, regaining that chemistry will be much easier. Jordan brings a very versatile style to the team. We are excited to get started."
