A Look Ahead: Friday, October 3 & Sunday, October 5
October 2, 2014 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Oshawa Generals News Release
Our regular season got off to a very exciting start, with the Generals currently sitting in first place in the Eastern Conference. Notably, Sam Harding, Chris Carlisle, and Cole Cassels are all currently in the top 20 scorers in the OHL. On the list of top goalies in the league, Ken Appleby is second, only behind Charlie Graham of the Belleville Bulls. The Generals have most certainly started the season making an impression and look to keep their performance strong through the rest of the season.
This weekend, the excitement of Generals hockey continues. On Friday, Oct. 3, the Ottawa 67's (0-1-0-0) are in town and the Generals are looking to secure another win on home ice. On Friday night, our Eastern Division banner will be raised along with this year's team being introduced. Game time is at 7:35 p.m. and tickets can be purchased by clicking here. If you're wondering about captain status, Josh Brown has been invited to camp with the AHL's San Antonio Rampage. The Oshawa Generals are in constant contact with Brown and Cole Cassels will continue to serve as captain until final word has been given on Josh. Following the game, be sure to head to Prospects for our first Friday Night Live of the year, featuring the Drunk Jam Band.
Following Friday's game, the Generals will take on the Kitchener Rangers (1-1-0-0) on Sunday, Oct. 5 with the puck dropping at 6:05 p.m. Prior to the game, be sure to bring the whole family out to the Family Fun Fair, presented by Dufferin Concrete in support of Grandview Kids. There will be plenty of great activities including inflatables, games, face painting, and a visit from Bubba the clown, and Generals mascot, Deke. Dufferin Concrete will also be bringing along one of their concrete trucks and you'll have the chance to throw tennis balls into the truck for the chance to win some fantastic prizes including TVs, and a foursome at Deer Creek (to name a few). This event will kick off Grandview Kids Week, all in support of Grandview Kids. To learn more about Grandview Kids, click here.
To purchase your tickets for these upcoming games, click here, visit the GM Centre Box Office, or call 1-877-436-8811.
