Howden & Gregor Make Under-17's

Moose Jaw Warriors Brett Howden and Noah Gregor were among the many today announced to one of Canada's three teams for the 2014 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.
Howden was the 5th overall selection in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft. Last season playing midget AAA in Manitoba, he had 24 goals and 58 points in 38 games for the Eastman Selects. Howden also had five goals and 11 points in 11 playoff games, leading his team to the provincial final.
Gregor was originally drafted 55th overall by the Victoria Royals in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft, he was acquired last season by the Warriors in the Travis Brown deal. Gregor played midget AAA last season in Leduc, he had 21 goals and 51 points in 35 games, winning the Alberta Midget AAA scoring title.
Howden and Gregor both attended Hockey Canada's national Under-17 development camp in Calgary in the summer. They are both currently in their rookie season with the Warriors and have both scored one goal each.
The 2014 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge begins November 2 in Sarnia & Lambton, Ontario. The preliminary round runs through to the 4, the elimination round begins November 6 and concludes with the gold medal game November 8.
For the past 28 years, Canada has been represented by five regional teams at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge (Pacific, West, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic), this year's event will mark the first that Canada will be represented by three teams (Black, Red, and White).
