SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose SaberCats announced today that they have agreed to a two-year contract extension with Hall of Fame Head Coach Darren Arbet. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"Darren Arbet has been a leading and steady force for our organization over the last 15 years as Head Coach," said Owner Dave Fry. "We are thrilled to have him back."

Arbet, inducted to the Arena Football League Hall of Fame in 2011, ranks as one of the most successful coaches in AFL history. This past season, he moved into second place all-time in total career wins, finishing the 2014 campaign with 168 combined regular season and postseason victories. Arbet currently sits third all-time in regular season wins with 152 and fourth in league history with a .679 career regular season winning percentage.

Not only has Darren Arbet led the SaberCats organization to 11 double-digit win seasons and eight Western/Pacific Division titles during the regular season, he has delivered in the clutch during the postseason. All-time, he currently sits second with a .640 winning percentage in the playoffs, and his 16 post season victories rank third all-time in AFL history. Arbet is also one of only three coaches to win three or more ArenaBowl Championships, taking home the ultimate prize in 2002, 2004 and 2007 for the SaberCats.
