Sudbury Wolves News Release
The Sudbury Wolves lost their second games in a row on the road on Sunday with a 4-0 loss in Oshawa. Once again, the Wolves played a solid game for two periods but trailed 2-0 after the second frame. Shots on goal were 24-22 in favour of the Generals. The Generals first goal came from a 3-man deflection which Wolves' starter Troy Timpano had no chance on.
The Generals second goal in the second period came from a sloppy clearing play by the Wolves and Sam Harding of the Generals made no mistake by scoring with a hard accurate shot. Harding had 3 goals on the night for the Generals.
Similar to the night before in Belleville, the Generals poured it on in the third period and outshot the Wolves 18-8 and scored two more times.
The Generals scored two power play goals, one short-handed goal and one regular strength goal. Meanwhile the Wolves were 0 for 4 on the power play.
The Wolves will need to regroup after their 1-2 weekend as they host their northern arch-rivals on the weekend by hosting the Soo Greyhounds on Friday night and on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. the Wolves will host the North Bay Battalion.
