Axemen Bring Back Balentine

Bemidji, MN - The Bemidji Axemen are proud to announce that they have re-signed All-IFL wide receiver to their 2015 roster.

Balentine, the leading receiver for the team in 2014, finished last year's campaign with 71 receptions for 1,029 yards and 14 touchdowns on his way to 1st Team All-IFL honors. The re-signing of Balentine adds another lethal piece to an excellent Axemen receiving corps.

"We are really excited to have Ryan back with the team," stated Axemen head coach Dixie Wooten. "He's one of the best receivers in this league, without a doubt. The people here in Bemidji love watching him play."

Before joining the Axemen, Balentine played for the Green Bay Blizzard where he lead the team in receiving with 74 receptions for 834 yards and 12 touchdowns on his way to a 2nd Team All-IFL selection in 2013.

Balentine played collegiately at the University of Southern Mississippi where he caught 65 passes for 883 yards and eight touchdowns. His senior campaign was his best, recording 49 receptions for 742 yards and eight touchdowns for the Golden Eagles.
