A Look Back: September 22-28

Spencer Scores Game-Winner in Sydney Derby

On Saturday, Sydney FC and Jasmyne Spencer faced the Western Sydney Wanderers in the W-League's Sydney Derby. It was Spencer who would score the first goal of the game, which proved to be the game winner, knocking in a rebound in the 13th minute. The Sky Blues would go on to win 2-0.

Newcastle Drops Second-Straight in Loss to Brisbane

After opening the 2014-15 W-League campaign with a victory, Angela Salem, Katherine Reynolds and the Newcastle Jets have lost two-consecutive games, most recently falling to Brisbane 3-1 on Saturday. Both Salem and Reynolds started for the Jets and have now started all three games this season.

A Look Ahead: September 29-October 5

Newcastle at Adelaide - Sun., Oct. 5, 2014

Adelaide Shores Football Centre, 12 a.m. ET (1:30 p.m. ACST)

With over a week break, the Jets travel west to face seventh-seeded Adelaide United. United will be searching for its first win of the season, while Newcastle looks to move up the ladder by adding three points.
