Andy McCauley to Return as Otters' Manager in 2015

(Evansville, Indiana)--The Evansville Otters announced today that Frontier League manager of the year Andy McCauley will return as manager in 2015.

Since joining the Otters midway through the 2010 season, McCauley, 45, has posted a 211-220 record. His teams have posted improved records in each of his five seasons in Evansville: 19-31 in 2010; 39-57 in 2011; 45-50 in 2012; 51-45 in 2013; and 57-37 in 2014, the best in franchise history.

"Over the past four and one-half seasons, Andy has methodically guided our franchise back into the upper echelons of the Frontier League," said Otters owner Bill Bussing. "We're pleased to have him back."

A 1991 graduate of Mansfield (Pa.) University, McCauley boasts 17 years of managerial experience in independent baseball.

"I am very happy and excited to be returning to Evansville," said McCauley. "I look forward to continuing to build on the success we've had over past few seasons. I would like to express my gratitude to Mr. Bill Bussing and the entire Bussing family for giving me this opportunity. Special thanks go to Bix Branson, Joel Padfield, Jake Riffert, Elspeth Urbina and the entire front office staff for making my job easier and enjoyable".

McCauley was also named Frontier League manager of the year in 1999, when he guided the London Werewolves to the league championship. McCauley won the Northern League title with Kansas City in 2008. He was chosen as the Northern League's manager of the year at Schaumburg in 2004.
