Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.- Perfect Game USA, one of the leading resources in amateur baseball scouting and development, released its Top 50 Prospects list for the 2014 season. The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters had two players named to the list in right-handed pitchers Zach Jackson and Nick Blackburn.

Zach Jackson (Arkansas) was named the fifth best pro prospect in the Northwoods League following his summer with the Rafters. With a fastball consistently in the 92-94 MPH range and a sharp wipeout slider, Jackson finished the season with a 2-2 record and a 4.06 ERA. In 37.2 innings Jackson recorded 59 strikeouts and held his opponents to just a .211 batting average against him.

Nick Blackburn (Illinois) came in at number 46 on the list. Working both as a starter and out of the bullpen as a reliever for a few appearances, Blackburn compiled a 3-3 record for the Rafters. He showed good durability as well in working 49.1 innings, good for second on the team. A pitching repertoire of fastball, slider, and a change-up helped Blackburn notch 35 strikeouts on the year.
