September 24, 2014 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Saskatoon Blades News Release
General Manager and Head Coach Bob Woods announced tonight that the Saskatoon Blades have assigned defenceman Nolan Reid to Notre Dame Midget AAA.
Reid, a product Deer Valley, SK, recorded two penalty minutes in his only appearance so far this season, a 3-1 loss to the Prince Albert Raiders on Sept. 20.
The 5-foot-10, 163-pound blueliner spent most of the 2013-14 season with Notre Dame, tallying 10 goals, 32 points and 12 penalty minutes in 42 regular-season games. In 12 post-season contests, Reid recorded one goal, 10 points and 10 penalty minutes.
Reid, 16, scored his first-career WHL goal back on Dec. 14, 2013 against the Kamloops Blazers.
Veteran defenceman Nelson Nogier is back from Winnipeg Jets training camp, assuming Reid's spot on the active roster.
