Phantoms Announce Roster Moves; Set Final Roster

YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO - Head Coach and General Manager Anthony Noreen has announced several roster moves ahead of this Saturday's season opener against Team USA's Under 18 squad. The Phantoms have traded for Chicago Steel defenseman Connor Yau, and have parted ways with forwards Zach Evancho and Ludvig Larsson, along with defenseman Chris MacMillian.

Yau comes to Youngstown in exchange for a conditional eighth round pick in next year's USHL Draft. Hailing from Algonquin, Illinois, Yau skated in 46 games last season for the Steel, accounting for two goals and 14 assists, with both of those goals coming on the power play. He is committed to Dartmouth College.

Evancho finishes his Youngstown Phantoms career with 13 goals and 17 assists, in 108 career regular season games. The Derby, New York native scored a career-high 17 points last season (8g, 9a), and finished second on the team with a plus-two on-ice rating.

The team made two more moves to determine the final roster, as Larsson and MacMillian were also let go. Both were added to the Phantoms' preseason roster following the team's tryout camp back in June, and skated in last week's Fall Classic East.
