LA Galaxy Host New York Red Bulls on Sunday

CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014) - The LA Galaxy (15-5-9, 54 points) will take on the New York Red Bulls this Sunday, Sept. 28 at 5:30 p.m. PT at StubHub Center in a nationally-televised matchup broadcast live on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes.

Bruce Arena's side has lost just twice in the past 21 matches and is unbeaten in their past eight games. The Galaxy have scored the most goals in MLS with 59 and have also allowed the fewest this year with 31, giving them an MLS best +28 goal differential. With a 2-1 victory over FC Dallas on Saturday, the Galaxy clinched a playoff berth in the 2014 MLS Playoffs.

The Galaxy will face the New York Red Bulls for the first time this year. The Galaxy are 15-18-6 all-time against New York, scoring 53 goals and adding 62 assists in their previous 32 meetings.

Forward Landon Donovan leads MLS with 15 assists this year, bringing his career total to 132, just three shy of the MLS record of 135. Forward Robbie Keane is second in MLS with 14 assists. Keane is also tied for third in MLS with 15 goals along with LA Galaxy Homegrown Player Gyasi Zardes, who continues to lead all Americans in scoring this season.
