Cüpper, Miceli and Marsh named the three stars of the week

BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, September 22, 2014 - Marvin Cüpper, Angelo Miceli and Adam Marsh were named today the three stars of the week for September 15 to 21, 2014.

The first star of the week is awarded to the Shawinigan Cataractes' goaltender Marvin Cüpper. The 20 year old was perfect during the weekend with two shutouts. The first against the Drummondville Voltigeurs and the second against the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada. Cüpper stopped all 71 shots he faced and has an active streak of 170 minutes without allowing a goal. He will try to continue this streak next Friday when the Quebec Remparts are in Shawinigan.

Angelo Miceli, of the Victoriaville Tigres, is the second star of the week. In two games, Miceli got six points, including four goals. Friday against the Chicoutimi Sagueneens, he was named the first star of the game with a performance of one goal and one assist in a 4-2 win. Sunday in a 5-2 win against the Gatineau Olympiques, Miceli was once again named the first star by scoring a hat trick.

Saint John Sea Dogs' rookie, Adam Marsh, is the third star of the week. Friday, he helped his team get a 5-1 win against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan by contributing 2 assists. Saturday against the Halifax Mooseheads, Marsh tallied 2 goals and 2 assists including one on the game-winning goal in overtime which helped his team win the game 6-5.
