Worcester Sharks Announce 2014-15 Promotional Schedule

Worcester, MA - The Worcester Sharks (@WorcesterSharks), proud American Hockey League affiliate of the San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) have announced the team's 2014-15 promotional schedule as the Sharks celebrate 20 years of AHL hockey in Worcester. Three bobblehead giveaways, a Worcester IceCats Night, five high school hockey double headers, a Worcester Hockey Alumni Game, and numerous returning fan favorite theme nights highlight an action packed promotional schedule!
Individual tickets are on sale now and may be purchased via Ticketmaster by calling (800) 745-3000 and online at www.ticketmaster.com . Individual tickets are also available by visiting the DCU Center Box Office Monday through Saturday from 9:30a.m. to 5:30p.m.
The Sharks enter their ninth season by hosting an Opening Night Fan Fest beginning at 5:30pm at the DCU Center on Saturday, October 18, against the Providence Bruins at 7:00 p.m. with the first 2,500 fans receiving a free magnet schedule. Join mascots FINZ and Scratch as we celebrate 20 years of AHL action in Worcester!
Three separate bobblehead nights are featured on the promotional schedule which includes a Joe Pavelski Team USA bobblehead on November 29 and a Troy Grosenick bobblehead on March 7. ESPN's John Buccigross will appear and sign autographs on John Buccigross Overtime Challenge bobblehead night on January 10 vs. the Bruins.
In the first of three planned specialty jerseys nights, the Sharks will sport a Worcester IceCats jersey on Worcester IceCats Night with a special appearance by Scratch on December 13 followed by the 4th annual "Pink in the Rink" Night presented by Pepsi to benefit the Cup Crusaders which includes a special pink jersey and skate on pink ice on January 31. The Sharks will also wear a specialty jersey on Heroes Night on February 21.
Turn back the clock and enjoy the first ever Worcester Hockey Alumni Game doubleheader on March 28 as former Sharks and IceCats hit the ice before the Sharks battle the IceCaps!
Back by popular demand, meet Boston Garden legend Rene Rancourt after he sings the national anthem on January 16. A special celebrity appearance will occur on November 8 vs. the Bruins. Past celebrities have included Rob Gronkowski, David Ross, and Shawn Thornton!
The Sharks will host five high school double headers this season as Auburn will battle Wachusett on January 9, Shrewsbury will skate against Algonquin on January 10, Hudson and Marlborough will take the ice on January 17, and St. John's will tangle with St. Peter Marian on January 31. In addition, the 5th annual MSHCA High School All Star Classic presented by Shriner's will take place on March 21. One ticket will allow you admission to both the high school and Sharks games.
Enjoy a postgame autograph session on December 14 on Team Poster Giveaway Night and Skate with the entire Sharks hockey team during the annual Hat & Mittens Holiday Skate on December 30 during school vacation week.
The Sharks will host their annual Halloween Party with a costume parade and trick-or-treating on the DCU Center concourse will take place on October 26 and the Teddy Bear Toss presented by Bay State Savings Bank returns for a fifth season on November 15. Fans are encouraged to bring new stuffed animals to throw on the ice in support of local charities.
This season will mark the fifth edition of a Sharks movie poster giveaway presented by WTAG as Sharks players will "star" in the "FROZEN" movie poster to be given out on November 1.
Help celebrate FINZ's birthday with a Star Wars themed birthday party on March 29 and make sure to bring your dog on April 12 as the Sharks host their 4th annual Pucks & Paws Night!
For the fourth consecutive season, the Sharks are rolling out $2-$2-$2 Fridays. During every Friday night game at the DCU Center, fans may purchase hot dogs, sodas, and popcorn for only $2 each.
Kid's tickets are just $5 for Sunday afternoon games with the purchase of one adult ticket as part of $5 Kid's Sundays. Mascot Scratch will join FINZ at every Sunday home game this season!
The family fun pack will include all weekend date games (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and includes four tickets, four hot dogs, and four sodas, starting at just $79.
The return of fan favorite Saturday Night Signings presented by Bay State Savings Bank will include Worcester Sharks players signing autographs during the 2nd intermission during all Saturday home games.
The Sharks will host a "Fan Appreciation Night" on April 11 vs. the Bruins and "Fan Appreciation Day" vs. the Pirates on April 19. Several promotions and giveaways are planned for both games which will include the annual Parade of Champions!
