Ice Flyers Sign Defenseman Phil Tesoriero

PENSACOLA, FL. (September 18, 2014) - The back to back SPHL champions, Pensacola Ice Flyers, add Phil Tesoriero to their defensive lineup.
"I'm very excited to continue my hockey career in Pensacola," Tesoriero commented. "I've heard nothing but great things about the organization and the fans."
With the recent announcement of the CHL's Denver Cutthroats dormancy for the upcoming season, the 5'9, 185 lbs, Colorado native became a free agent after two seasons with the team. During his 121 regular season games in Denver, Tesoriero accumulated 4 goals with 11 assists for 15 points and served 70 minutes in penalties. He's regarded as a true competitor and known for his aggressive style of play.
"He's a first class character guy who does what it takes every night to win. Everyone who speaks of Phil says that he's ready to play and competes like no other," Head Coach Rod Aldoff stated. "I know the fans are going to enjoy watching Phil this year and what he brings everyday."
Prior to his CHL experience, Tesoriero played three seasons with the Davenport University Panthers in the ACHA; one season Division II and two seasons Division I. He was recognized as an Assistant Captain for the Panthers his 2011-12 senior season.
"I am looking forward to the upcoming season and contributing to another championship run," Tesoriero added.
