Aces to Host "Reno CAN'd Aid Blues & Brews Fest"

RENO, Nev. - The Reno Aces Baseball Club has announced the Freight House District as the venue for "Reno CAN'd Aid Blues & Brews Fest" to benefit Reno Rebuild & Reno Blues Society on Saturday, September 20.

Oskar Blues Brewery will be serving up Colorado's finest craft beer and four live Blues acts will perform, beginning at 5:00 p.m. The Rick Hammond Blues Band, semi-finalists at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis will perform, as well as Below Zero, Blue Haven and Guitar Woody and the Boilers.

The Oskar Blues CAN'd Aid Foundation is a nonprofit charity dedicated to giving back and making a difference in communities across the country. Formed as an immediate response to the devastating 2013 floods in Colorado, CAN'd Aid has distributed $650,000 to flood affected businesses and families, and continues to work directly with the Town of Lyons to help rebuild. In addition to flood recovery, the foundation funds grassroots grants in "Tunes" "" music makes is better; "Treads & Trails" "" we love bikes; "Love Yer Mama" "" protect the planet and "Total CANarchy" "" anything goes.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate and include a can of Oskar Blues beer with all proceeds going to charity. Tickets can be purchased at the following outlets: Prism Magic and Hippies Pipe & Incense in Sparks, Melting Pot and Recycled Records in Reno and The Bead Store in Carson City. Tickets can also be purchased online here.

The evening will feature a 50/50 raffle as well as prizes from the Aces, Oskar Blue Brewery and Sierra Tap House.
