VANCOUVER, BC (September 17, 2014) - The 102nd Grey Cup Festival Organizing Committee announced today the full program of events and performers for the 4-day Festival held in conjunction with the 102nd Grey Cup Championship Game. This year's Grey Cup Festival will take place November 26-30 at the Vancouver Convention Centre in the heart of Vancouver. Tickets for Canada's largest annual sport festival will range from $20-$350, with many free activities appealing to music and sports fans of all ages.

"Vancouver has emerged as a world class host city for major cultural and sports events, and we are excited to once again welcome visitors from all across Canada for the 102nd Grey Cup Festival," said Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson. "With events and activities for everyone, the Grey Cup Festival is renowned for its festive atmosphere and will be a fantastic celebration of both football and Vancouver's vibrant local arts and culture scene."

The 102nd Grey Cup Festival will feature a 3-day nightly concert series presented by Global BC and The Province and headlined each night by some of Canada's brightest stars, including Canadian country talent Tim Hicks, popular Vancouver-based folk band Hey Ocean! and 'Canada's greatest party band' Trooper. Three-day passes for the 102nd Grey Cup Festival Concert Series go on sale Friday, September 19 at ticketmaster.ca for an early bird rate of $90, with passes going for $102 after October 15.

In addition to the Concert Series, the 3-day TELUS Street Festival will include FREE live music daily on the PlayNow.com stage, featuring a rotation of talented local artists, including Delhi 2 Dublin, The Matinee, and The Boom Booms.

"We have worked very hard to deliver events that appeal to both families and fans and we believe we have the right mix of ticketed and free programming," said Jamie Pitblado, General Manager for the 102nd Grey Cup Festival.

"The Grey Cup is a special event for Canadians," said David Braley, Owner of BC Lions Football Club. "It represents the very best of football in this country and is a Canadian tradition unlike any other."

The Festival will also include the inaugural Edgewater Casino Night at the Vancouver Convention Centre, as well as the Blakes CFL Alumni Legends Luncheon, where CFL legends of past and present will raise funds for the CFL Alumni Support Fund to assist former players with medical challenges. The Save-on-Foods Grey Cup Festival Parade will take place Saturday November 29 and will wind through downtown Vancouver with the Grey Cup and other memorable acts.

"An event of this magnitude would not be possible without strong community support, which we have through key partnerships with our sponsors, and we thank them for supporting the great tradition that is the Grey Cup Festival," said Dennis Skulsky, President & CEO of BC Lions Football Club.

'The committee has been hard at work planning a spectacular line-up of events for this year's Grey Cup Festival," said 102nd Grey Cup Festival Organizing Committee Co-Chair, Michael Graydon. "We have an army of over 725 volunteers signed up and raring to go for November to make this Canada's biggest football party."

The Festival builds on a long-standing tradition of celebrating Canadian football and creates a high-energy atmosphere in advance of the 102nd Grey Cup Championship Game on November 30 at BC Place. Tickets for the game are available at ticketmaster.ca/greycup.
