Calgary Stampeders News Release
The Calgary Stampeders have added international quarterback Casey Pachall to the practice roster.
Pachall, a six-foot-five, 230-lb. native of Brownwood, Tex., attended training camp with the Toronto Argonauts this season and was on the team's injury list until being released Sept. 6.
Pachall played four seasons at Texas Christian University (2010-13) and finished his career as the Horned Frogs' all-time leader in completion percentage (62.9). He ranked third in school history in completions (431), passing yards (5,415) and touchdown passes (42). His five career 300-yard games tied Andy Dalton for the most in TCU history.
Pachall was a second-team all-Mountain West Conference in 2011 after completing 228 passes of 343 passes (a 66.5-percent completion rate) for 2,921 yards and 25 passing touchdowns. He added two rushing scores. He set a school record with 473 passing yards and tied the school mark of five touchdown passes in the Horned Frogs' 36-35 victory over previously unbeaten Boise State on Nov. 12, 2011.
