South Carolina Stingrays News Release
North Charleston, S.C. - Lowcountry native and long-time Equipment Assistant Charles Liebenrood has been promoted to Equipment Manager, President Rob Concannon and Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Spencer Carbery announced today.
"Chuck has demonstrated the work ethic and commitment over the past four years that this organization prides itself on," Carbery said. "He's very deserving of this opportunity within our organization and I look forward to working with him this season."
A native of Summerville, South Carolina, Liebenrood served as the Stingrays' Equipment Assistant the past four seasons and worked in the Pro Shop in the Carolina Ice Palace in North Charleston. He steps in for Brian Godin, who accepted a position with the National Hockey League's Florida Panthers earlier this month.
"I'm pumped," exclaimed Liebenrood. "I'm ready for the season to go and the players to arrive and meet everyone. I know the guys at the Coliseum and Ice Palace pretty well and I had a lot of friends help me. I'm very happy Rob and Spencer gave me this chance."
