September 11, 2014 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Orlando City SC News Release

ORLANDO - September 11, 2014 - Orlando City SC (19-4-5, 62 points) enters the postseason as Regular Season Champions for the third time in four seasons on Saturday night, as the Lions are set to take on the Harrisburg City Islanders (10-11-7, 37 points) in the first round of the USL PRO playoffs. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET at ESPN Wide World of Sports (WWoS).

The match will be live-streamed via www.YouTube.com/OrlandoCitySC.

Great seats are still available and can be purchased by visiting www.OrlandoCitySC.com or by calling 855-ORL-CITY.

Orlando heads into the match boasting a three game unbeaten streak, including a 1-0 victory over the Richmond Kickers in its final USL PRO regular season game. Midfielder Kevin Molino scored the lone goal of the match in the 22nd minute, notching a record 20th goal of the season.

Saturday's fixture marks only the second ever postseason meeting between the Lions and the City Islanders. Both sides faced each other in the thrilling 2011 USL PRO Championship game, in which the Lions defeated Harrisburg in penalty-kicks (3-2). The match featured a roller-coaster of events as Orlando battled back from a 2-1 deficit in extra time to defeat Harrisburg with ten men.

Orlando City and Harrisburg have split the season series in 2014. After falling to the City Islanders 3-2 at Skyline Sports Stadium in August, the Lions responded with a strong 3-1 victory in front of their home crowd the following weekend.

Commenting on the upcoming match, Head Coach Adrian Heath is committed to maintaining his squad's focus saying, "The regular season is done now. We've achieved what we set out do, but that's been put away. It's a three game season for us now, and it starts on Saturday. I have no qualms that Harrisburg will be a difficult opponent for us, but the lads have had a good week in training so we're looking forward to it. "

Aside from Goalkeeper Rafael Diaz, who is listed as questionable, Heath's squad is injury free for the first-round playoff match. However, Midfielder Darwin Ceron remains unavailable for selection due to international duty.

During halftime, the Orlando City Foundation will present a $10,000 check to the Howards Phillips Center for Children and Families - Healthy Families Orange. The check will help fund programs building healthy and positive parenting behaviors for new mothers and fathers. This phenomenally successful program has demonstrated a near 100% success rate in preventing child abuse and neglect in Central Florida.

If the Lions are victorious, the WWoS box office will be open for an hour after the match so fans can purchase tickets to the semi-final game on September 20. Fans can also purchase tickets online or by phone.
