Barnstormers Begin Building 2015 Roster

DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers begin building their 2015 roster with the signing of quarterback Robbie Nallenweg, wide receiver Daron Clark, and linebacker Giorgio Walton, Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel Joe Brannen announced today.

Nallenweg (6-5, 230, Wingate University) joins the Iowa Barnstormers for his second season in the Indoor Football League. Prior to ending the 2014 season with the Green Bay Blizzard, Nallenweg spent tenures in the Champions Professional Indoor Football League (CPIFL) with the Salina Bombers and with the West Texas Wildcatters of the Lone Star Football League (LSFL). The two-year team captain completed his senior season at Wingate 281-of-400 for 3,013 yards and 24 touchdowns.

In addition to setting school records for passing yards per game (331.3), completions in a game (43), completions in a season (326), attempts in a season (491), and completion percentage for a season (66 percent), Nallenweg is a two-time winner of the SAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award for football and a two-time Capital One Academic All-Super Region 2 team member.

Clark (5-8, 175, Stillman College) has experience playing professional football in the United Football League (UFL), Canadian Football League (CFL), Arena Football League (AFL), and the Indoor Football League. During his senior season at Stillman College, Clark recorded 20 receptions for 418 yards and three touchdowns. Out of 11 punt returns, the Atlanta native tallied 128 yards and one touchdown. On kick returns, he averaged 19 yards per attempt.

Walton (6-1, 240, Bacone College) played middle linebacker for the Bacone College Warriors. Walton ranked second on the team in tackling his senior season while collecting 72 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, and one sack. He earned Most Tough and Physical Player of the Year in 2013 and was selected to play in the All-American Bowl in 2014.
