Former League Award Winners Re-Sign with Mammoth
September 9, 2014 - National Lacrosse League (NLL) - Colorado Mammoth News Release
DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth announced on Tuesday that the team has continued its off-season signings as it has agreed to terms with 2008 NLL MVP Athan Iannucci and 2013 NLL All-Rookie Team member Joey Cupido.
"When we brought Athan in last year, he showed flashes of his old self," said Mammoth president & general manager Steve Govett. "We need more of that! As for Joey, he's one of the most athletically-gifted players in the NLL, and certainly one of the fastest."
Iannucci holds the NLL record for goals-scored in a season with 71. As a transition player, Cupido has committed just two minor penalties in his career.
Colorado also re-signed defenseman Colton Clark, and inked free-agent defenseman Mike Woods to a two-year agreement.
