Pelicans Play Decisive Game Three Friday

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (SEPTEMBER 5, 2014) - The Myrtle Beach Pelicans, Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Texas Rangers, take on the Salem Red Sox on Friday night for the final game of the best-of-three Mills Cup Championship Series. The Sox took Game One in controversial fashion on Wednesday, but the Pelicans leveled the series to stave off elimination on Thursday with a 4-1 victory.

First pitch on Friday is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark in Myrtle Beach.

The winner of Friday's matchup will host Game One and Game Two of the Mills Cup Championship Series on Saturday and Sunday against the Potomac Nationals, who swept the Lynchburg Hillcats in their best-of-three series. If the Pelicans win on Friday, Game One on Saturday is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. and Sunday is set for 6:05 p.m.

Tickets for Friday's game are available online, at the Pelicans Box Office, or by calling the Pelicans Ticketing Line at (843) 918-6000.

Fans must call to purchase tickets for the potential Mills Cup Championship games. If the Pelicans lose on Friday, tickets purchased for potential Mills Cup Championship Series games can be refunded or used for a ticket purchase in the 2015 season.

Game Five: Thursday, Sept. 11, 7:05 p.m. first pitch - at Pfitzner Stadium (Woodbridge, Virginia)

Game Three of the Southern Division Championship Series on Friday at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Chad James (4-3, 2.74) takes the hill in winner-take-all game for the Pelicans against Red Sox southpaw Cody Kukuk (4-7, 5.26). The game can be heard live on WRNN AM 1450 ESPN Myrtle Beach, on the TuneIn Radio App, and via the MiLB First Pitch App, beginning with the Hampton Inn Pregame Show at 6:45 p.m.
