Sacramento River Cats News Release

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Tickets are now on sale at Raley Field's Round Table Pizza Ticket Office for an Oct. 11 friendly soccer match between Mexican Premier League teams Cruz Azul and Club Morelia.

Cruz Azul-historically one of the top clubs in the Liga MX-makes its second appearance at Raley Field (2006). Coming off CONCACAF Champions League title, they now own eight Primera DivisiÃ"n championships and six CONCACAF Champions League titles, making Cruz Azul one of the most decorated teams in Mexican soccer history. Led by head manager Luis Fernando Tena, Cruz Azul features Christian Giménez, who has totaled 42 goals since 2010.

Club Morelia-the reigning Super Copa MX Champions-is returning to Sacramento after last appearing in a friendly at Raley Field in 2012. Morelia is captained by Columbia native, Aldo RamÃ-rez, who has spent seven-plus seasons with the club. Spearheading the club's offense is striker David Depetris of Argentina who has 98-career goals to his name.

The tradition of world-class soccer at Raley Field continues with this Liga MX first-division match. Earlier this year, Club Leon squared off against Club America, in 2006 Cruz Azul faced off against Monterrey, in 2007 Monterrey returned to face Preston North End of England, in 2010 the San Jose Earthquakes played against Chivas USA, in 2012 Club Morelia competed against San Luis FC, and a year ago, on Sac Pro Soccer Day, Norwich City played Dorados De Sinaloa at Raley Field, marking the first time an English Premier League team played a match in Sacramento.
