Prince George Cougars News Release

Prince George, B.C. - After kicking off the preseason with a win and an overtime loss last weekend in St. Albert, the Prince George Cougars are excited to welcome the 2014 Memorial Cup Champions, the Edmonton Oil Kings to town this weekend for a Friday-Saturday weekend double-header.

From 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM tomorrow afternoon, Prince George Cougars season tickets will be available for pickup. All fans are invited to a pre-game barbeque which starts at 5:00 PM. The barbeque is free to all season ticket holders, but food is also available to the public via donation. All proceeds raised from the barbeque will go towards ALS Research. The Prince George Cougars would like to recognize Northland Nissan and Costco for assisting with the pre-game barbeque.

As an added incentive, all season ticket holders will receive a free ticket for Friday night's game against the Oil Kings. All other fans can buy their tickets on site through Ticketmaster. Adult seats are $9 and children 12-and-under can get in for only $5. Doors open at 6:15 PM and puck drop is at 7:00 PM for both games.

"As the regular season draws closer, you can feel the excitement growing in the City of Prince George with each passing day," said Prince George Cougars Vice President - Business, Andy Beesley. "We are very excited to welcome the fans back to the CN Centre and we look forward to a great showing from the Prince George Cougars against the defending Memorial Cup Champs."

It is not too late to join the New Ice Age. You can purchase your season tickets and game packs through Ticketmaster at: (250)-564-5585.
