September 2, 2014 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Allen Americans News Release

Allen, Texas- The Allen Americans announced today the signing of Forward, Brandon Coccimiglio to contract for the 2014-2015 CHL season.

Originating from Burlington, Ontario, Coccimiglio stands tall at a height of 6'2'' and weighing 209 pounds. The 27 year-old forward has played in both AA leagues over the course of his career, looking to enter his 5th professional year on the ice, and his first with the Americans. He spent four years with the OPJHL and USHL, and then competed in the AHA (Atlantic Hockey Association, NCAA) for four years at Mercyhurst University, where he was named to the NCAA (AHA) Second All-Conference Team for the 2009-2010 season.

"Brandon was one of the league's top scorers per game last year," said Allen Americans Head Coach Steve Martinson. "His 25 goals in 39 games were outstanding. He will be one of the top scorers and players in the Central Hockey League this year."

Coccimiglio had a short stint in the ECHL with the Greenville Road Warriors and Alaska Aces, but has since spent three years dueling in the Central Hockey League, playing with the Missouri Mavericks, Tulsa Oilers, and just recently with the Arizona Sundogs last season. Of the 29 games he played with the Sundogs during the second half of the season, he racked up 17 goals, 2 of those being game-winners. He played in a total of 39 games last year, scoring 25 goals and 59 points, which would have been good for second on the Americans squad last season.

The Americans open training camp on October 10th at Allen Event Center. Training Camp is free and open to the public. For more information on season tickets call (972) 912-1000.
