Bulls Trim Roster to 30

BELLEVILLE, ON - With four scrimmages in the books, Bulls Head Coach George Burnett and his staff had plenty to evaluate and by Friday evening, had trimmed the roster to 30. The club re-assigned 14 prospects to their respective junior and Major Midget clubs.
Of the 2014 draft class, forwards Mitchell Mendonca, Joseph Mizzi, Colton Trumbla, Nicholas Prestia, Jordan Crocker, Chase St. Aubin, Matt McJannet were reassigned. Defencemen Wyatt Brauer and Aidan Girduckis as well as netminder Cole Ceci were also released from the preseason roster.
Additionally, 1997 born prospects Josh LeBlanc, Stevie Mariani, Will Ward and Christian DeDonato were also reassigned.
The Bulls preseason roster now consists of 16 forwards, 11 defencemen and 3 goaltenders.
Notables remaining in camp moving into Saturday include 17 year-old wingers Matt Luff, Josh Supryka and Griffin McCarty up front. On the blueline, 2014 sixth round selection Simon Besner is accompanied by Wellington Dukes blueliner Jacob Panetta and London native Derek DiIorio still remaining on the roster.
Saturday's on-ice session is a team practice at the Yardmen Arena at 12:00pm. The Bulls prepare for their first preseason action of the year when they visit the Peterborough Petes on Monday afternoon at 2:00pm.
