Chicago Fire Head to New England for Eastern Conference Clash with Revolution

The Chicago Fire (5-6-14, 29 points) travel to take on the New England Revolution (10-12-3, 33 points) at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. on Sunday, Sept. 7 at 6 p.m. CT (My50/TWCSC Wisconsin/La Ley 107.9 FM).

This is the third and final meeting between the two sides this season. The Fire return to Gillette Stadium after posting a 1-0 win on July 12. Goalkeeper Sean Johnson saved Chris Tierney's 85th minute penalty kick attempt as the Fire won their first match at Gillette Stadium since June 27, 2010.

Prior to Sunday's match, the Revolution host Sporting Kansas City in MLS action on Wednesday, Sept. 3.

CHICAGO FIRE at NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION

- The Fire hold a 21-17-10 all-time regular season record against the Revolution. In matches played on the road, the Fire are 9-12-3.

- Selected by the Revolution in the fourth round (45th overall) in the 2005 MLS Supplemental Draft, Larentowicz made 111 regular season appearances for the Revolution from 2005-2009. In his first three seasons with the club, the Revolution reached three consecutive MLS Cup finals.

- The previous two matches between the Fire and Revolution this season have produced late-game heroics from goalkeepers from both sides. On April 19 at Toyota Park, Revs "˜keeper Bobby Shuttleworth made a 90th minute save on Juan Luis Anangono's penalty kick as the match ended 1-1. On July 12 at Gillette Stadium, Sean Johnson saved Chris Tierney's 85th minute penalty kick attempt as the Men in Red won 1-0.

- Midfielder Patrick Nyarko returned to action on Aug. 31, playing 20 minutes in the Fire's 2-1 Reserve League victory over FC Dallas. This was Nyarko's first game since suffering a knee sprain against Sporting Kansas City on May 18.

CHICAGO FIRE SOCCER CLUB TO HOST 2ND ANNUAL SOCCER & STYLE FASHION SHOW

The Chicago Fire Soccer Club will host the 2nd Annual Soccer & Style Fashion Show featuring Fire players and coaches at Revel Downtown (440 West Randolph Ave., Chicago, IL 60606) on Thursday, Sept. 25 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. CT.

Good Day Chicago anchor Natalie Bomke will serve as emcee for the event as Fire players and coaches walk the runway in this season's hottest looks in the name of charity. Benefitting the Chicago Fire Foundation, tickets to the show start at $50, which includes general admission and two drink tickets. VIP admission is $75, and includes three drink tickets, reserved seating and a gift item. Tickets can be purchased here.

TICKETS FOR 2014 CONCACAF WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP IN CHICAGO AVAILABLE SEPT. 5

Tickets for the first-round games of the 2014 CONCACAF Women's Championship at Toyota Park on Oct. 17-18 will go on sale to the public on Friday, Sept. 5 at 10 a.m. CT. Due to expected high demand, tickets are currently limited to series tickets only, which will include all the games played at Toyota Park.

Fans can purchase series tickets for the Oct. 17-18 doubleheaders at Toyota Park by calling 888-MLS-FIRE or by visiting the Toyota Park Box Office.

Toyota Park hosts four sides from Group A (including the USA) on Oct. 17 and four teams from Group B on Oct. 18.

The eight countries which will compete in the 2014 CONCACAF Women's Championship are the United States and Mexico from North America, Guatemala and Costa Rica from Central America, and Caribbean sides Haiti, Jamaica, Martinique and Trinidad & Tobago. The Final Draw to place the teams in two groups of four will take place in Miami on Sept. 5.

The tournament format will see the top two teams in each group advance to Philadelphia for the semifinals on Oct. 24, when the winner of each group will face the runner-up of the opposite group. The third-place and championship games will be held on Oct. 26.

The top three finishers - the semifinal winners and the winner of the third-place match -- will qualify directly for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup June 6-July 5 in Canada, while the fourth-place team enters a playoff with a team from South America for the final World Cup slot.
