Bruce Arena's side has lost just twice in the past 17 matches and has scored the most goals in MLS this season with 48 while giving up the least, allowing just 27 on the year.

The match against Colorado marks the third time this year the two Western Conference sides will face each other, with the Galaxy going 1-1-0 in the previous two matches, both played at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. In their most recent matchup, played Aug. 20, the Galaxy overcame a 3-1 second-half deficit to win 4-3 on a game-winning goal from Landon Donovan.

Donovan has recorded five assists in the last four games, bringing his career total to 129, just six shy of the all-time MLS assist record. With 12 on the year, Donovan is currently the MLS leader in assists, with teammate Robbie Keane in second with 11. The Galaxy are also the only team to have two players in the top five in MLS scoring, as Robbie Keane (14) and Gyasi Zardes (12) are third and fifth, respectively.
