Sudbury Wolves News Release
A total of 10 goals were scored in the Sudbury Arena on Sunday afternoon as the North Bay Battalion out-gunned the Sudbury Wolves 6-4 in front of 1,500 Sudbury fans.
Veteran forwards Jacob Harris and Connor Burgess scored for Sudbury as did new import forwards Ivan Kashtanov and Pavel Jenys. Kyle Capobianco had a solid game with two assists. Michael Pezzetta, Chase Hawley, Trenton Bourque and Devon Paliani all recorded their first OHL points.
The Wolves trailed 3-2 after the first period and 4-2 after the second frame. After falling behind 5-3 in the third, the Wolves stormed-back to make it 5-4 and almost scored the equalizer. North Bay scored the insurance marker with 55 seconds left in the contest.
Rookie goaltender Michael Muzyka started in goal for the Wolves and allowed 4 goals on 29 shots. Free agent goaltender Sam Tanguay allowed two goals on 21 shots.
Shots on goal finished 50-40 in favour of the Battalion. The Battalion were 0 for 6 on the power play while the Wolves were 0 for 3 with the man advantage.
The Wolves will take to the road on Monday for a visit to the Gateway City.
