Rome, GA - The Rome Braves (32-37) defeated the Savannah Sand Gnats (40-29) by a score of 4-3 on Sunday afternoon at State Mutual Stadium.

The Sand Gnats struck in the third on an RBI single by Champ Stuart to take a 1-0 lead. Rome answered with three runs in the fourth on an RBI single from Sal Giardina and Cody Livesay and a sac bunt that plated a run by Reed Harper for the 3-1 score. The Braves added another run in the seventh when Jake Schrader tripled and scored on a sacrifice fly by Joey Meneses to make the score 4-1. The Sand Gnats made it a 4-3 game in the ninth on a two run home run by Patrick Biondi off Matt Kimbrel. Zach Jadofsky entered the game to get the final out and 4-3 win.

Jean Carlos Gil (7-6) gets the win going six innings allowing one run on three hits while Alex Panteliodis (5-5) is charged with the loss. Jadofsky picks up his second save of the year.
