Sandberg’s homer lifts Cutters in final meeting with Jammers

The Crosscutters outslugged the Jamestown Jammers 7-6 Saturday night at Susquehanna Bank Park at Historic Bowman Field in the last meeting between the two clubs in the history of time.

The Jammers franchise moves to Morgantown, West Virginia in 2015.

Chase Harris had an RBI double to get the Cutters on the board in the third inning followed by the ninth homer of the year for Rhys Hoskins in the fifth inning to cut the margin to 3-2.

Deivi Grullon hit a go ahead 2-run double in the bottom of the sixth inning to put the Cutters in front 6-5. Jose Pujols had his first 3-hit night in a Cutters uniform.

Cord Sandberg hit his fifth homer of the season leading off the seventh inning to give the Cutters a 7-6 lead and the win.
