Jersey Shore BlueClaws News Release

HAGERSTOWN, MD - Andrew Pullin had squared to bunt twice, taking a ball each time, before getting a 2-0 fastball he could drive, and he drove it out of Municipal Stadium for a three-run, 9th inning home run that gave the BlueClaws a 7-4 win over Hagerstown on Saturday night at Municipal Stadium.

The win gave the BlueClaws (25-41/52-83) a split of the first two games of the series with Hagerstown (42-26/86-52).

Pullin's home run, his 9th of the season, came off Hagerstown reliever Justin Thomas (3-5), who took the loss. Four of Pullin's nine home runs have come off left-handed pitchers. He went 3-5 with 4 RBIs in the game, tying a career high RBI mark and his season-high hit mark.

Joey DeNato threw a scoreless ninth inning for his second save. In the inning, he picked a runner off first base, the 5th runner he's picked off in 14 games with the BlueClaws.

Hagerstown had tied the game at 4 on a two-run home run by Wilman Rodriguez in the bottom of the 7th inning off Jesen Therrien. Therrien allowed those two runs in three innings and earned the win (3-0).

Lakewood had opened a 4-1 lead with a four-run 6th inning which included an RBI double by Pullin, a two-run home run by Andrew Knapp (5th), and an RBI double by Zach Green. All four runs scored off Hagerstown reliever Ryan Ullman.

Lakewood starter Ranfi Casimiro gave up two runs over five innings while Hagerstown starter Reynaldo Lopez threw five scoreless innings.

The BlueClaws have just two more games in the 2014 season. They will continue the series in Hagerstown on Sunday at 5:05. LHP Matt Imhof (0-2) opposes Hagerstown RHP Nick Pivetta (13-8).
