Indians Break Overall Attendance

SPOKANE, Wash. -- With 7,072 fans at tonight's regular season finale, the largest crowd of the season, the Indians are excited to announce that two new team attendance record have been broken. The Indians welcomed 193,865 fans through the gates 37 times this season, breaking the overall attendance record originally set in 2007. Spokane also broke another all-time record by averaging 5,240 fans to each game, the highest total in the team's 112-year history.

"We're grateful to receive this amount of support from the community," said Josh Roys, Spokane Indians Vice President of Tickets. "We strive to bring Spokane a great family-friendly atmosphere, and these attendance numbers show we're reaching our goals."

Avista Stadium packed in over 7,000 fans five times throughout the summer and had over 6,000 on 12 separate occasions. On Friday, July 4th, the Indians entertained 7,064 fans to celebrate the nation's Independence Day. Spokane's attendance is second in the nation for Short-Season baseball clubs. The New York Mets affiliate, the Brooklyn Cyclones, own the top spot.
