Crenshaw Delivers All-Star Caliber Pefromance

WINNIPEG- Dustin Crenshaw shut down the Winnipeg Goldeyes on Friday night, leading the Gary South Shore RailCats to a 3-0 win.

In the second inning, Josh Romanski singled with one out. Ryan Babineau and Wally Backman both delivered two-out base hits, with Backman's driving in Romanski to give the Cats a lead that they never relinquished.

Drew Martinez drove in the Cats' second run of the ballgame in the fifth with a single into center field, scoring Drew Muren.

Muren led the seventh off with a double and Danny Pulfer moved him over to third a single. Martinez delivered his second RBI base hit of the game, scoring Muren to make it 3-0. After Crenshaw left following the eighth inning, Ian Kadish threw a perfect ninth to notch the save.

In 8.0 innings, Crenshaw allowed just four hits while striking out four. Martinez had two hits and two RBI and Muren added three hits of his own. The RailCats and Goldeyes continue their series on Saturday at 6:00. Dan Vaughan has the call on WEFM and railcatsbaseball.com/live.
