The Sea Dogs open up a four-game series with the Harrisburg Senators on Friday night at Hadlock Field. If Portland wins and Binghamton losses, the 'Dogs clinch their first division title since 2005.

NEWS AND NOTES

DIVISION TITLE? The Sea Dogs can clinch their first division title since 2005, and the fifth in team history (won three straight division titles from 1995-97), as they open up a four-game series with the Harrisburg Senators at Hadlock Field...To clinch the division, the 'Dogs need to win, plus a Binghamton loss at Richmond...Portland needs two wins for the best record in franchise history - the 1995 team holds the team mark at 86-56 ...RHP Mike Augliera makes the start on Friday night, taking the spot of RHP Luis Diaz (disabled list).

15 BUT ONLY ONE : Portland had 15 baserunners on Thursday night, but just one run, falling to the Reading Fightin Phils 3-1...The 'Dogs have dropped three straight at Hadlock Field for just the third time this season...LHP Brian Johnson made the start for Portland and hurled five scoreless frames on just two hits...LF Keury De La Cruz knocked in the game's first run with a two-out single in the third...Reading scored three times off losing pitcher RHP Pete Ruiz over 1.2 IP on two hits and three walks...LHP Hoby Milner (10-6) earned the win, working six innings on seven hits, one run, but five walks.
