Salt Lake Bees News Release

El Paso scored six runs in the seventh on three hits, three walks, two hit batters and two errors, as the Chihuahuas rallied for an 8-7 win over the Salt Lake Bees on Thursday night. The Bees led 5-2 going into the bottom of the seventh, but a hit batter and two walks loaded the bases with one out. Jace Peterson singled to right off of Cam Bedrosian (1-1) to bring home two runs with the tying run coming home when right fielder Brennan Boesch's throw sailed over catcher John Hester's head back to the screen with Peterson advancing to third. Vinnie Pestano came in to pitch and hit former Bee Taylor Lindsey with his first pitch.

Yeison Asencio followed by hitting a slow roller up the third base line to bring home Peterson with the go ahead run and Lindsey scored from first when Pestano's throw went down the right field line to make it 7-5. Veteran Jeff Francoeur drove in the sixth run of the inning with a single to right. The Bees scored two runs in the top of the ninth, but C.J. Cron grounded out to end the game with the tying run at third.

Salt Lake had jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first on an RBI single by Luis Jimenez and a three run homer by Brennan Boesch. J.B. Shuck and Jimenez each had one hit and two runs batted in, while Shawn O'Malley added two hits to extend his hitting streak to nine games.
