El Paso Finishes Four-Game Sweep of Sky Sox, 5-1

Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release
The Colorado Springs Sky Sox (53-86) dropped their home season finale to the El Paso Chihuahuas (68-71) by the score of 5-1 on Wednesday night at Security Service Field. The victory by El Paso completed a four-game sweep for the Chihuahuas. Colorado Springs finishes the season with a 27-45 home record, the first time the team has failed to reach 30 home wins in team history.
Jason Lane (9-9) picked up the win for El Paso after tossing seven solid innings. He gave up just one run on five hits, while walking two and striking out eight. Chad Bettis (3-4) took the loss for the Sox after surrendering four runs on eight hits in 5.1 innings.
The fifth inning was home to the lone Sky Sox run on the night when Rafael Ynoa laced his team-leading 31st double of the season and then scored on a RBI single by Cristhian Adames.
For El Paso, they took an early 2-0 lead on a couple of bases loaded force out RBIs and then added to the lead in the sixth on a two-run home run by Cody Decker. The blast was his 25th of the season. One more insurance run crossed the plate in the ninth on a RBI single by Adam Moore.
The Sky Sox head on the road to end the 2014 season with a five-game series against the Omaha Storm Chasers. LH Yohan Flande (3-10, 5.55) will take the mound for the Sky Sox opposite the Storm Chaser's RH Aaron Brooks (11-3, 4.09). Game time is set for 6:05 PM (MDT).
SOX NOTES: With a final crowd of 5,851 fans tonight, the Sky Sox season total comes to 350,374 which is the first time the club has surpassed the 350,000 mark...Both Cristhian Adames and Ben Paulsen finished the night 2-for-2 with two walks.
