Marchese & Kirwan Combine for 11 Goals on Day Three

Chris Marchese and Luke Kirwan each scored four goals, as Team White outgunned Team Red in the morning scrimmage on Day 3 of our 2014 Training Camp on Wednesday.

Team White builts leads of 3-0 and 4-1, thanks to Marchese's hat-trick in the first of two 30-minute periods. But Team Red battled back to make it 6-4 after one, thanks to three goals in a span of 5:34 from Kirwan, whose talents were on display on Day Three. But Team White eventually pulled away, making it 9-4 with three goals in the opening 3:17 of the second period.

Nikita Yazkov and Sean Ross each scored twice for Team White, while Aaron Luchuk rounded out the scoring for the winners.

Trevor Murphy and Cameron Hughes had the other goals for Team Red.

Brendan Johnston (15 saves) and Eli Billing (24 saves) split duties for Team White, while Liam Moore (13 saves) and Alex Fotinos (16 saves) took the loss.

After roster shake-ups on both sides, Team Blue rode a pair of goals from Brody Milne and Mark Manchurek to a 7-4 win over Team White, which got another pair of goals from Luke Kirwan.

Cameron Hughes and Cristiano DiGiacinto chipped in with a pair of assists each for the winners.

Sam Povorozniouk, Matthew Hudie and Alex Lee rounded out the scoring for Team Blue, which got 17 saves from John Jeffries and eight from Brendan Johnston.

Josh Wilkins and Chris Marchese had the other goals for Team White.

Liam Moore made 18 saves in a losing cause, while Anthony Hurtubise made 16 stops.
