B-Sens Announce 2014-15 Regular Season Schedule
August 27, 2014 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Binghamton Senators News Release
BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators, in conjunction with the American Hockey League, announced today the full 2014-15 regular season schedule, which will see the B-Sens open their season against the Worcester Sharks in front of their home crowd, at the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena on Saturday, October 11 at 7:05 p.m.
The B-Sens are scheduled to face 14 of the 15 opposing teams in the AHL's Eastern Conference at least twice and will play all of their East Division rivals at least eight times (four home, four road). Binghamton will play an eight game series each against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the Hershey Bears and the Norfolk Admirals. The B-Sens will play new AHL member and East Division rival, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, a season-high 10 times (five home, five road).
Binghamton will also play 14 games against four teams in the Western Conference; the Utica Comets (three home, three away), the Rochester Americans (two home, two away), the Adirondack Flames (one home, one away) and the Toronto Marlies (one home, one away).
On Sunday, February 15 the B-Sens will play a home game at their National Hockey League affiliate, Ottawa Senators' home at the Canadian Tire Center in Ottawa, Ontario. This contest will take place at 3:00 p.m. against the Toronto Marlies. The B-Sens will then travel to Toronto's NHL affiliate, the Toronto Maple Leafs' home located at the Air Canada Center in Toronto, Ontario for a 1:00p.m. matchup on Monday, February 16 against the Marlies.
The 2014-2015 B-Sens regular season is again a very fan-friendly schedule with the majority of the home game dates falling on either Fridays (16) or Saturdays (15). April will be Senators' fans busiest month as Binghamton finishes up the regular season with six home games during a span of just 16 days, concluding the season against Rochester on Saturday, April 18.
The B-Sens' schedule also features three of our traditional and much anticipated holiday games. For the second straight year Binghamton will host its annual Thanksgiving Day game on the day before the holiday, Wednesday, November 26 as the B-Sens play host to the St. John's IceCaps at 7:05 p.m. The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will be traveling here on Friday, December 26th for the annual post-Christmas matchup at 7:05 p.m., and the Lehigh Valley Phantoms will visit at 6:05 p.m. on December 31st for our annual New Years Eve celebration.
