New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Brad Glenn hit a pair of home runs and drove home a season-high four runs to power the Fisher Cats to a 6-4 win over the Harrisburg Senators on Monday night. Glenn's second two-homer night of the season helped the Fisher Cats' (65-71) break a five-game losing streak and even their series with Harrisburg (50-86) at one game each.

Glenn's first impact on the game stayed in the yard as he smacked a two-out single to centerfield to give the Fisher Cats a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. K.C. Hobson followed with a single to plate Glenn for a 2-0 advantage after one.

Glenn went deep for the first time in the third, again with two outs. Kevin Nolan started the rally with a single before Glenn homered just over the left-center field wall for a 4-0 lead. The homer was his seventh of the year, and his second since returning from Buffalo.

After the Senators got a run back in the fourth, Derrick Chung drove in Michael Crouse in the bottom of the frame to push the lead back to four runs at 5-1.

Ben White (W; 1-0) made the start for the Fisher Cats in his Double-A debut. He pitched into the seventh and had allowed just one run until he ran into trouble. He gave up a lead-off single in the seventh before a one-out walk put runners at first and second, and summoned Richard Bleier in from the bullpen.

Bleier struggled, allowing two of three hitters to reach while allowing both runners to score against White. The rally cut the Fisher Cats lead to 5-3, closing the door on White for three runs over 6.1 innings in his first New Hampshire start.

Harrisburg made it interesting in the top of the eighth, scratching out a run against Dustin Antolin to make it a one-run game at 5-4. But in the bottom of the inning, Glenn responded with his second homer, a titanic blast to deep left-center that nearly nailed the hotel in the air. His third hit and fourth RBI put New Hamsphire up 6-4, and allowed Gregory Infante to close the door in the ninth for his 21st save.

There are now just two home games left to go in the 2014 season. Game three with Harrisburg begins at 6:35 p.m. on Wednesday night. The first 1,000 fans will receive a sling backpack courtesy of ExpressMED Urgent Care. Tickets are available by visiting www.nhfishercats.com, stopping by the Fisher Cats ticket office, or by calling (603) 641-2005.
