Reign FC Defender Lauren Barnes Loaned to Melbourne Victory

SEATTLE (August 26, 2014) - Seattle Reign FC announced today that the club has agreed to loan defender Lauren Barnes to Melbourne Victory FC of the Australian W-League. The defender returns to the reigning Westfield W-League champion after a successful guest stint last season.
Barnes will join fellow Reign FC defender Elli Reed at Melbourne immediately after the conclusion of Seattle's 2014 NWSL Season.
Barnes was selected in the second round (10th overall) of the 2013 NWSL Supplemental Draft by Reign FC for the inaugural NWSL season. She played in 23 matches this season, starting 22 and logging 1898 minutes.
Barnes will return to Seattle prior to the start of the 2015 NWSL Season.
