Vancouver Giants News Release
Vancouver, B.C. - The Vancouver Giants are pleased to announce that forward Matt Bellerive will attend the Vancouver Canucks YoungStars Classic from September 12-15, 2014 at the South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton, B.C.
"I think it's great for Matt," said Giants General Manager Scott Bonner. "He's had a great summer, and this should help him set the table for a big season."
Bellerive was re-acquired by the Giants in a trade with the Kamloops Blazers on May 1st. The North Vancouver native put up 18 goals and 23 assists in 60 games split between the Blazers and the Red Deer Rebels last season.
Previously, Bellerive played 98 games in a Giants uniform over parts from three seasons from 2009-2012. The Giants drafted Bellerive in the second round of the 2009 Bantam Draft at 43rd overall.
