Hillcats Series Finale with Potomac Rained Out
August 21, 2014 - Carolina League (CarL1)
Lynchburg Hillcats News Release
Lynchburg, VA - Heavy rain fell on Calvin Falwell Field for approximately an hour beginning at 6:15pm, which led to the cancellation of the game between the Lynchburg Hillcats and the Potomac Nationals Thursday night. Because this marked the final match-up between the two teams, the game will not be made up.
Lynchburg continues its homestand Friday night at 6:05pm when the Myrtle Beach Pelicans come to town. Jarett Miller (8-8, 3.90) will start against Ryan Bores (0-4, 4.33). Gates open at 5pm, and the first 500 fans will receive a free backpack giveaway courtesy of Lynchburg Dental Center and WJJS. It's also Liberty University night at the ballpark. Erik Wilson and Kyle West will call the action on 97.9 The Planet, beginning with the HIllcats On-Deck Show presented by Amtrak Virginia at 5:40pm.
