Sea Dogs Lose Bent on Waivers, Add Overager on Tryout Basis

SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs announced today right-winger Kelly Bent has been claimed on waivers by the Halifax Mooseheads.

The 19-year-old Halifax-native posted four goals, six points and 120 penalty minutes for the Sea Dogs during the 2013-14 season, his only campaign in Saint John.

In other roster news, a new overage forward has been added to the club's training camp roster.

Twenty-year-old right-winger Taylor Fielding has been invited to camp as a free agent. Listed at 6'1", 207 lbs., the Hampton, Ontario, native played four seasons with the Ottawa 67's of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) between 2010 and 2014, where he totaled 22 goals and 55 points in 227 regular season games. Last season he recorded five goals and 16 points in 65 games.

The Sea Dogs also released free-agent forward Ryan Migliaccio. The Guelph, Ontario, product recorded an assist in his lone exhibition game for Saint John, Saturday's preseason loss to the Mooseheads.

There are now 36 players in camp, consisting of four goaltenders, ten defencemen and 22 forwards.

Saint John's next preseason game is Friday, August 22nd, at 7:30 p.m. against Halifax at Harbour Station. Tickets are on sale at the Harbour Station Box Office at a cost of $5 for season ticket holders and $9 (plus a $1 service charge) for the general public.

Season tickets are also on sale now at the Harbour Station Box Office and the Sea Dogs' office on the pedway level of Harbour Station. Season ticket holders can SAVE up to $170 on their seats when compared with single-game box office prices.
